Welcome to the Gravity Commons Podcast

We want this to be easy and fun for you, no matter how much experience you have with podcasts. We want to talk to you because we think you have interesting things to say, so relax and let the conversation flow wherever it wants to go.

How to Prepare for the Podcast

  1. Record in a quiet room. This means little to no outside noise, and more soft materials than hard (so the audio doesn't bounce around too much--bedrooms and living rooms are better than kitchens or dining rooms, usually). Though you might feel a little weird, a big-enough closet is an ideal recording environment.
  2. Record with headphones. The most important thing you can do to achieve clean audio is by using headphones. Please use them if at all possible.
  3. Record with a separate microphone. If you have a microphone you can use, great. If not, don’t worry about it too much. A decent microphone doesn't cost a ton of money, either. Let us know if you'd like some recommendations.
  4. Use a computer with a Chrome browser that’s up-to-date. Check your internet stability. Ethernet cable connections are preferred over WiFi.
  5. Close all other applications that don’t need to be open during the recording. This prevents CPU overload. Important: Please close all other programs that try to use your mic/camera.
  6. The link to the online recording studio is included in the confirmation email you were sent after scheduling with us (from Calendly). Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
