Es una oferta incre\u00edble que cualquier \u201ccomprador\u201d sensato aprovechar\u00eda. Cuando podamos verlo claramente, parecer\u00e1 demasiado bueno para ser verdad. Estar con Jes\u00fas para aprender de \u00e9l c\u00f3mo ser como \u00e9l es la oportunidad m\u00e1s extraordinaria que cualquier ser humano jam\u00e1s tiene.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aprendiendo de los tontos<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hoy en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetableindy.org\/daily-prayer-online\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"oraci\u00f3n de la ma\u00f1ana (se abre en una pesta\u00f1a nueva)\">Oraci\u00f3n de la ma\u00f1ana<\/a>, nuestro leccionario nos pidi\u00f3 leer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Luke+14%3A25-35&amp;version=CEB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Lucas 14:25-35 (se abre en una nueva pesta\u00f1a)\">Lucas 14:25-35<\/a> juntos, donde Jes\u00fas narra par\u00e1bolas sobre un constructor de torres y un rey asediado. En muchas Biblias en ingl\u00e9s, esta secci\u00f3n se titula \u201cEl costo del discipulado\u201d o algo similar. Por eso siempre pens\u00e9 que estas eran im\u00e1genes de disc\u00edpulos que estaban \u201ccalculando el costo\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pero, tal como Andy Crouch <a href=\"https:\/\/andy-crouch.com\/articles\/learning_from_fools\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"se\u00f1ala en un incisivo art\u00edculo (se abre en una nueva pesta\u00f1a)\">se\u00f1ala en un art\u00edculo incisivo<\/a>, esto es exactamente lo opuesto al punto de Jes\u00fas: <strong>\u201cLos primeros oyentes de Jes\u00fas habr\u00edan sabido que esa etiqueta era todo lo contrario. Porque estas historias no tratan de disc\u00edpulos, sino de necios.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pi\u00e9nsalo: el constructor de la torre no tiene suficiente dinero para terminar su proyecto. El rey no tiene suficientes tropas para ganar la batalla. <strong>Estos no son modelos de discipulado, son modelos de necedad.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Estas son im\u00e1genes de personas que no pueden costear los proyectos que han emprendido, personas que intentan obtener seguridad a trav\u00e9s de sus propios recursos y fuerza, construyendo ambiciosamente monumentos a su propia ingeniosidad y habilidad. Es una imagen de personas que intentan volverse lo suficientemente queridas, ricas o poderosas para asegurarse un lugar. Es la torre de Babel, de nuevo.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En otras palabras, Jes\u00fas est\u00e1 diciendo: \u201c\u00a1Dejen su b\u00fasqueda insensata de seguridad y reputaci\u00f3n antes de que se arruinen espiritualmente! \u00bfNo ven que nunca podr\u00e1n completar su proyecto? Les est\u00e1n mintiendo. Est\u00e1n malgastando su vida en un sue\u00f1o falso que nunca podr\u00e1n pagar. Abandonen esta insensata construcci\u00f3n de torres y esta guerra innecesaria, y s\u00edganme en su lugar\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-22091\" src=\"https:\/\/gravitycommons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/towerofbabel-1024x817.jpg\" alt=\"The cost of discipleship vs the cost of foolishness\" \/>\r\n<figcaption>Pieter Brueghel el Viejo (ca. 1525-1569), <em>La Torre de Babel<\/em>, \u00f3leo sobre madera, 1563<\/figcaption>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Calcula el costo del discipulado Y el costo de la necedad<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Que es exactamente el mismo punto que Jes\u00fas est\u00e1 diciendo, \u00e9l que quiera salvar su vida la perder\u00e1, mas el que pierda su vida por causa de m\u00ed, la salvar\u00e1. Pues, \u00bfqu\u00e9 aprovechar\u00e1 al hombre ganar todo el mundo si se pierde a s\u00ed mismo o se da\u00f1a a s\u00ed mismo?\u201c<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La vida que \u201crenuncias\u201d para seguir a Jes\u00fas es como un proyecto de construcci\u00f3n de torres mal concebido que de todas formas no funcionar\u00e1. \u00a1D\u00e9jala atr\u00e1s! Es <em>mucho<\/em> es m\u00e1s costoso seguir intentando terminar tu torre, porque al final fracasar\u00e1s, sacrificar\u00e1s tu vida por una torre a medio construir.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parafraseando a Dallas Willard: \u201cSi crees que es dif\u00edcil ser un disc\u00edpulo de Jes\u00fas, deber\u00edas intentar vivir la <em>otro<\/em> manera.\u201d Esto es exactamente lo que Jes\u00fas estaba diciendo en estas historias: <strong>Vivir para hacerte un nombre o asegurar tu propio futuro es demasiado caro.<\/strong> Detente ahora antes de que te arruines por completo. Jes\u00fas estaba hablando en estas historias sobre el costo del no discipulado, y es asombrosamente alto.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aprender de Jes\u00fas c\u00f3mo vivir realmente<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En contraste, vivir como disc\u00edpulo de Jes\u00fas significa que comienzas a entender lo que es verdaderamente vivir. \u201cEncuentras tu vida\u201d, como Jes\u00fas nos dice. Otra cita de Willard nos da una imagen de lo que nosotros <em>ganancia<\/em> como disc\u00edpulos de Jes\u00fas:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\r\n<p>\u00a1Qu\u00e9 visi\u00f3n tan asombrosa! El agua del cielo fluye a trav\u00e9s de nuestro ser hasta que somos personas completamente cambiadas. Despertamos cada ma\u00f1ana respirando el aire de este nuevo mundo; experimentamos una nueva conciencia y nuestro car\u00e1cter es transformado. Abandonamos nuestras pr\u00e1cticas enga\u00f1osas, nuestra falta de sinceridad, nuestras defensas, nuestra envidia y nuestra calumnia, y nos movemos hacia los dem\u00e1s con amor genuino.<\/p>\r\n<cite>De <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/1576838579\/ref=nosim\/bensblog04-20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Revoluci\u00f3n del car\u00e1cter<\/em><\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No es \u201ccostoso\u201d obtener esta clase de vida, simplemente renuncias a la vida antigua y recibes la nueva como un regalo. Quienes se involucran en ella no son h\u00e9roes espirituales, solo est\u00e1n respondiendo a la oferta de su vida, ahora que finalmente pueden verla claramente. Es el tesoro en el campo.
