Gushee<\/strong> is Distinguished University Professor of Christian Ethics at\u00a0Mercer University<\/a>, and Chair of Christian Social Ethics at\u00a0Vrije Universiteit<\/a>\u00a0(\u201cFree University\u201d) Amsterdam, and Senior Research Fellow,\u00a0International Baptist Theological Study Centre<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gushee is the elected Past-President of both the\u00a0American Academy of Religion<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0Society of Christian Ethics<\/a>, signaling his role as one of America’s leading Christian ethicists. He is the author, co-author, editor, or co-editor of more than 28 books, and has had a global impact in the field of Christian ethics. A leader in the growing post-evangelical movement, he has also put feet to his faith in several activist campaigns.<\/p>\n
